Welcome to Kirby The Barbers.

We're a 100% family owned and operated barbershop in the Historic Hancock neighborhood of Austin Texas. We are caddy corner to the Commodore Perry Estate and Resort, and between a slice and a shank from Texas' oldest golf course, Hancock Golf Course, Est 1899. We are in good company, Groovy Automotive and HEB share our historic corner. We voted in 1959 to sell the back 9 of Hancock Golf course to a local grocer.

We operate our barber shop out of our Historic Brick House, built, right here on Red River, directly across from the street from the oldest golf course in Texas, Hancock Golf Course Est. 1899. We got the balls to prove it.

We're a barbershop of yesterday, minus the cross talk and long wait, we are appointment only. We offer a more relaxing, personal and private experience than the busy chain shops. Its your time and your space. you can spill your guts or take a snooze. We are actual barbers, not hairstylists. We both have over a decade of experience,over 10,000 hours, cutting mens hair. Never a rush, we live on-site, so its clean, quiet, calm and secure, like a home. We hope you feel the same sense of comfort here as we do. We relocated from 7th and Brazos in 2020. Welcome to our home.

We book a full hour so we have plenty of time. Whether you are running late, grabbing cash or just need some extra time, we got you. Not sure what service to book? All bookings are an hour so we can pivot on the spot. Just book something. Remember, we are CASH ONLY, so well make sure you get what you pay for. Reserving the whole hour means we have less appointment slots available per day, so we do ask that you do not no show on us, or cancel at the last minute. We remain flexible so hopefully if you are just running late, you can still make your appointment.
